How long is the Race? The Race is approximately 3.1 miles. You may also choose to walk a one-mile route.
Can I bring my dog(s) to the event? No. For the safety of event participants/due to local regulations, only service animals will be allowed at the event.
Can I walk the Race? Absolutely!

Mary's Story
I’ve lost an aunt to breast cancer and over the years, some of my very best friends on my team have gone through a diagnosis. While I hate adding names to my Race bib, I know the money I raise supports crucial work to help find the cures to end breast cancer.

2027 Race Shirt
Every registered participant will receive an event T-shirt. Shirts for survivors and those living with metastatic breast cancer will be in special colors to recognize their role in our event.
Participants who register by Sunday, May 2, 2027 will have their shirts mailed prior to Race day, without exception. Those who register after Sunday, May 2, 2027 can get their shirt at Packet Pick-up or on Race morning.

Every registered participant will receive a race bib. All participants that plan to participate in the 5k or 1 Mile course must wear a race bib AND be registered due to safety and liability. Spectators are welcome to join you on race morning but must stay within North Bank Park and not go out on the race course.
Participants who register by Sunday, May 2, 2027 will have their race bib mailed prior to Race day with their t-shirt, without exception. Those who register after May 2, 2027 can get their race bib and t-shirt at Packet Pick-up or on Race morning.
The color of your bib will be determined by your registration selection. Those who select running will receive a gray bib. Those that select walking will receive a white bib. Those who select to be recognized as a survivor or those living with Metastatic Breast Cancer will receive a special color bib.
The 2027 Columbus Race will not be a timed event. No timing chips will be available.

This event is a celebration of the strength and resilience of our entire breast cancer community, especially people living with living with metastatic breast cancer. We honor these members of our community at:

Race for the Cure is Susan G. Komen’s premier 5K running event. Registration fees get you to the starting line, but your fundraising and generosity will help us cross the finish line to our vision of a world without breast cancer.
