Pre-Event Virtual Spirit Week | May 9 — May 14
Join us for our annual Virtual Spirit Week and kick off race week with us! Starting on May Sunday, May 9th, participate in daily activities to celebrate all week long. You can participate in the Virtual Spirit Week in our Columbus Race Facebook Group
6:30 a.m. | Race Registration Opens
You can register on site, drop off donations and pick up your race t-shirt/bib.
7:00 a.m. | Race Site Opens
Explore our four pillars, visit the “We Remember” tent, meet our valued sponsors, enjoy food trucks and more.
7:50 a.m. | Survivors and those living with metastatic breast cancer meet at Hope Village
Don’t miss your opportunity to be in our group photo and prepare for the Opening Ceremony.
While in Hope Village, make sure you grab a postcard on ShareForCures, Komen’s breast cancer research registry focused on finding the cures for breast cancer. Learn how you can help accelerate discoveries, make an impact and be a catalyst for change.
8:10 a.m. | Opening Ceremony
Honor survivors and those living with Metastatic Breast Cancer as they walk down the Pathway of Hope, celebrate our top fundraisers and listen to inspiring stories of resilience.
8:30 a.m. | Head to Start Line
There will be a break between the opening ceremony and the race start. Please use this time to grab your team members and your loved ones and head to the start line at the corner of Neil Ave and W Spring St. This will also be the time for patients, survivors and those living with MBC to link back up with their group after the Pathway of Hope.
8:45 a.m. | Race begins
The 5k runners will take off first, followed by the 5k and 1 mile walkers.
10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. | Post-Race Celebration
After you cross the finish line, please enjoy the finish line snacks, Race Expo, Food Trucks, Hope Village Tent, VIP Tent and more until the event concludes at 11:00 a.m.
All Day Long | Race where you are
Can’t join us Race morning? Hop on the treadmill, take to your neighborhood sidewalks or the paths of your favorite local park or trail; wherever you’re able to gather with friends, family and team members near you.

What is the cost to register?
Early Bird Registration Fees through October 31:
Adult: $35
Virtual Adult: $35
Youth (under 18): $25
Virtual Youth (under 18) $25
Register early to beat the November 1 price increase!
Children in strollers are encouraged, but not required, to register for the event so that we may properly account for the needs of all participants. Only registered participants will receive an event T-shirt.
How long is the Race?
The Race 5k run/walk course is approximately 3.1 miles. You may also choose to walk the 1-mile family fun walk course.
Are strollers allowed at the event? Yes!
We encourage participants of all ages to join us on the event day!
Can I bring my dog(s) to the event?
No. For the safety of event participants/due to local regulations, only service animals will be allowed at the event.
Can I walk the Race?

Where is the starting line and the finish line?
The start line is located at the corner of Neil Ave and W Spring St. The finish line is located at the base of McFerson Commons Park on W Spring St. Please note — The right lane at the finish line is a special finish line lane called Hope Lane. This is designated for patients, survivors and those living with MBC.
Hope Village Celebration | 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Hope Village, sponsored by OSUCCC James, is a special space designated for patients, survivors and those living with MBC. In this area, you will find special giveaways and activities just for you. Hope Village details are coming soon!
Group Photo at Hope Village | 7:50 a.m.
Join us for the annual group photo with your fellow patients, survivors and those living with MBC before we kick off the Pathway of Hope. You will find our photographer behind Hope Village. Once the photo is taken, please find your spot in line for the Pathway of Hope. You will find our volunteers in blue t-shirts holding up signs for the Pathway of Hope.

Your Event T-shirt
All registered breast cancer survivors and people living with metastatic breast cancer will receive a special event shirt to recognize your special place in our event. To guarantee your shirt arrives in time for you to wear it on event morning, you must register by May 2 at 11:59 p.m. CT.
Ready to make your fundraising legendary? Participants who raise $2,500 or more for any 2027 Race for the Cure, including the 2027 Komen Columbus Race for the Cure, 2027 MORE THAN PINK Walk, or 2027 3-Day will be recognized as members of the 2027 Komen Legends Club. Once you become a Legend, you’ll receive exclusive benefits, including a commemorative lapel pin. Additional information will be emailed to participants as they approach $2,500 in fundraising.
