My Story
I wish I didn’t have a reason to walk. The truth is, I have too many.
I walk for the friends I’ve watched fight breast cancer with more strength than anyone should ever have to find. I walk for the ones who beat it, the ones still fighting, and especially for those we’ve lost far too young, leaving behind kiddos, hubbies, families, friends, plans, and futures that should have had so many more chapters.
Every one of those names is a reminder that this disease doesn’t just impact the person diagnosed. It leaves a mark on everyone who loves them.
So I walk. I raise money. I probably complain about my feet. And I’ll keep doing all three until we don’t have to anymore.
If you’re able to donate, thank you. Truly. Every dollar helps fund research, support patients and families, and gets us one step closer to a world where fewer people have to add another name to the list of people they walk for.
Breast cancer has taken enough. Let’s give her hell.
