Walking for Hope
At 32 years old, I was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. I was a mom to two young children—just three years old and ten months old—and in what felt like an instant, the life I knew changed completely.
Treatment brought surgeries, chemotherapy, radiation, medication, fear, uncertainty, and a lot of moments when I felt like I had very little control over what was happening to me.
But cancer also taught me something I'll never forget: even when we can't choose what happens to us, we can choose what we do with what comes next.
I choose to live as fully as I can. I choose the messy kitchen and the good bottle of wine. I choose travel and adventure. I choose the little moments with my kids that I know I'll remember forever. I choose laughter, new experiences, sunsets, long conversations, and saying yes whenever I can. And I choose to show up for other women who are walking a road I know all too well.
This walk holds a lot of meaning for me. I'm walking because I know what it means to be told that your life has changed, and I know how important it is to have people beside you when it does.
I'm walking for the women who are newly diagnosed.
For the moms trying to hold everything together. For the women in the middle of treatment who are exhausted and scared.
For the survivors finding their way to a new normal.
And for the women we have lost, whose stories remind us why we keep going.
I'd love for you to walk alongside me, join my team, share my page, or make a donation. Every act of support helps move us closer to a future where fewer families have to hear the words, “You have cancer.”
Thank you for walking with me—whether that's with your feet, your generosity, or your encouragement.
Keep choosing forward.
