I just wanted to share a little bit about why this walk means so much to me and my family.
Every year, we come together to raise money and awareness in the fight against breast cancer, with the hope that one day we can find a cure.
Some of you may know, and some may not, but I lost my mom to breast cancer five years ago. She battled breast cancer for nine long years, and during that time, I was one of her main caretakers. Watching someone you love go through that, and being there alongside her through that battle, is something that will always stay with me.
That’s why this walk means so much to me personally.
We walk in her memory, but we also walk for everyone who has battled breast cancer, everyone currently fighting, the survivors, and every family that has been affected by this terrible disease.
My goal is to raise as much as we can and have as many people as possible join our team and walk alongside us. Every donation, every person who joins, and every bit of support truly means more than you know.
That’s why I do this every year. For my mom, for everyone fighting, and for the hope that one day no family has to go through what ours did. 💗
I joined the Komen community and registered for the Susan G. Komen MORE THAN PINK Walk with Elite Performance Club in dedication to her, to keep helping fight the battle, and to come up with a cure.
