My mother, Michelle, was a beautiful woman who was taken from us far too soon.
At only 34 years old, my mom lost her fight with breast cancer. She left behind six children who loved her more than words could ever explain.
She should have had so much more time.
More birthdays. More holidays. More hugs. More family memories. More moments watching her children grow into the people we would become.
Instead, cancer took her from us while she was still so young.
But I don't want my mom's story to only be about how she died. I want people to know who Michelle was.
She was a mother.
She was someone who loved her children.
She was a woman whose life mattered.
And even though she has been gone for years, the love she gave us never left. A mother's love doesn't disappear just because she is no longer here. It stays in the hearts of her children, in our memories, in the stories we tell, and in the parts of ourselves that came from her.
Six children had to grow up without their mom. Six children had to carry the pain of losing her far too young.
But we also carry her love, her memory, and her legacy.
Today, we walk in memory of Michelle.
We walk for the mother we lost.
We walk for the six children she left behind.
We walk for every family who has had to hear the words, “You have cancer.”
And we walk hoping that someday, no child will have to grow up without their mother because of breast cancer.
Mom, you were only 34, but the love you gave us has lasted a lifetime.
You may not be here for us to hug, but you are still a part of us every single day.
We love you. We miss you. We remember you. And we will carry your name and your story with us forever.
💗 In loving memory of Michelle.
A mother. A daughter. A loved one. A life that will never be forgotten.
