NotoriousBREAST

Our Story

I started a team for the Susan G. Komen MORE THAN PINK Walk this year, and yes, it's called NotoriousBREAST. I couldn't resist.

Here's why it's personal: I carry a BRCA1 gene mutation, which puts me at significantly higher risk for breast and ovarian cancer. Instead of waiting around to see what happens, I chose to act. I've already had a hysterectomy, and I'm now preparing for a preventive mastectomy with reconstruction. It's a lot, but it's also exactly why I'm walking. I'd rather take this on my own terms than leave it to chance.

Almost 320,000 people in the U.S. will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year. We've made real progress on prevention and treatment, but we're not done, not even close.

Here are the details:

Date: Sunday, October 25, 2026
Location: Los Angeles State Historic Park, 1245 N. Spring St., Los Angeles, CA 90012
Schedule: Site opens at 8:00 a.m., Pathway of Hope at 9:30 a.m., Opening Ceremony at 9:45 a.m., Walk begins at 10:00 a.m.

So here's my ask: join my team, walk with me, or just chip in what you can. Either way, you're helping fund the research and support patients need right now.
