We're not just walking because breast cancer exists-we're walking because it touched someone we love.

On October 31, 2025, Roxie was diagnosed with Stage 2A triple-negative breast cancer. From that moment on, we watched her face chemotherapy, hospital stays, surgery, immunotherapy, and radiation with incredible courage. We saw the hard days, the tears, the uncertainty, and the moments when she had to dig deeper than she ever imagined.

But we also witnessed something beautiful.

We watched her choose hope over fear. We watched her lean on her faith, fight with everything she had, and continue to smile even while facing one of the biggest battles of her life. She reminded us what true strength looks like.

We're walking because cancer doesn't just affect one person-it affects an entire family, a circle of friends, coworkers, neighbors, and a community that comes together when someone they love needs them most.

Every step we take is for Roxie.

Every step is for every survivor.

Every step is for those still in treatment.

Every step is in memory of those who are no longer with us.

And every step is a promise that we'll keep fighting until no family has to hear the words, "You have cancer."

Our team name, SAVE SECOND BASE, may make you smile, but our mission is deeply personal. We walk to raise awareness, support life-saving research, and bring hope to those who need it most.
