It's been 3 years. I can't forget.
Already, I find myself looking at photos to remember what happened.
That's how tricky the mind is, especially when your life is derailed by big, scary news. It tries to pave over the fear, the panic, the stress, the pain, the trauma of your life as you know it coming to a screeching halt.
But I don't want to forget that 3 years ago-- JUST THREE YEARS AGO-- I received a diagnosis that fundamentally transformed who I am today.
And I don't want you to forget either. The statistical likelihood of this happening to you, or to someone you love, is higher than you think. Count up all of the people you love and divide by 8. That's the math.
Komen never forgets. They're fighting for all of us. Advocacy work, community support, RESEARCH to find a cure for this stupid ass disease.
We're still out here, still tired AF of this cause. And we need your support. I need it.
Please donate if you can. Or join us in LA on October 25 to support this incredible community of people bound together by a diagnosis that changed their lives.
