Karen & Aimee's Victory Lap

Our Story

Karen and Aimee are Breast Cancer Survivors!

Karen’s Story

Karen was diagnosed with breast cancer following a routine mammogram in March 2025. The weeks that followed were filled with appointments, testing, and treatment planning. She underwent six rounds of chemotherapy followed by a double mastectomy. After months of incredible perseverance, Karen was officially declared breast cancer-free in August 2025.

Aimee’s Story

Aimee was diagnosed with breast cancer after a routine breast exam in the summer of 2023. Following her diagnosis, she underwent a lumpectomy and several rounds of radiation. With the support of her loved ones and the dedication of her medical team, Aimee completed treatment and was thrilled to receive a breast cancer-free diagnosis.

Karen and Aimee are incredibly grateful to be cancer-free and to have had access to exceptional medical care, along with the unwavering love and support of their family and friends. They also recognize that many women facing breast cancer do not have the same resources or opportunities for treatment.

This year, we are walking with Susan G. Komen in honor of Karen and Aimee’s journeys, in celebration of all breast cancer survivors, and in support of every person still fighting this disease. Together, we can help create a future where everyone has access to the care, hope, and support they deserve.
