I’m walking because cancer is more than a diagnosis—it touches families, friendships, workplaces, and entire communities.

I walk as a woman.

I walk as a nurse who has witnessed the strength it takes to fight.

I walk for the people I love who have been affected by cancer.

I walk in memory of my aunt, who lost her life to uterine cancer

And I walk in honor of my friend and coworker, who is a proud cancer survivor.

I carry both loss and hope with me.

Every step I take represents someone who fought, someone who is still fighting, someone who survived, and someone whose memory continues to live through the people who loved them.

As a nurse, I stand beside those who fight.

As a woman, I stand with other women.

As someone who has experienced the impact of cancer personally, I STAND FIRM.

For my aunt.

For my friend.

For my patients.

For every survivor.

For every family.

For every person still fighting.

I stand firm against cancer. I stand for strength. I stand for hope. I stand for a cure.

And until the day cancer no longer steals the people we love:
