My Story
This year I am participating in the Susan G. Komen MORE THAN PINK Walk for the first time. As a breast cancer survivor myself, I support Komen's mission of ending breast cancer. I was lucky to benefit from cutting-edge research when I was diagnosed, which gave me more options and more information and allowed me to avoid some of the harsher treatments that can come with their own damaging side effects. Please consider joining me with a donation to support continued research.
And for my friends in middle age: my breast cancer was detected early (stage 1) on a routine mammogram when I was 44 with no history of breast cancer in my family. I have been cancer-free for 14 years now. Get those mammos, people!
