This year, on October 17th, I’ll be participating at the Susan G. Komen MORE THAN PINK Walk. I’m not just walking for breast cancer awareness. I’m walking because breast cancer has become part of my story. I’m walking for the women who fought before me, for the women fighting today, for the families who have stood beside us, and for the women whose stories will never be forgotten.

I’ll walk with hope.

I’ll walk with strength.

I’ll walk for those who can’t.

I’ll walk for the women who came before me.

I’ll walk for the women fighting beside me.

And I’ll walk for the women who come after me.

I’ll walk with the belief that one day, breast cancer will be a chapter of the past. Future generations will know it only as something we once had to fight.

With every step, I’ll remind myself that even in the hardest seasons, there is still hope. 

And I’ll walk surrounded by the people who love me, carrying the women who have been part of this journey and holding hope for all those still finding their way through it.
