Por La Tia Pelucas

Our Story

Por Titi Karina.

This year, I’m proud to be the captain of our family’s team for the Susan G. Komen “La Tía Pelucas.”

Shortly after her 54th birthday, titi was diagnosed with HER2-positive breast cancer. She is one of the healthiest, strongest, and most health-conscious people I know, and she is now courageously facing an aggressive chemotherapy treatment through October.

Titi is our family’s ray of sunshine. Even though she lives on the opposite coast, she has always been one of the people who keeps our family connected. This year, we had big plans to celebrate together, including my wedding in October. Unfortunately, her treatment means she won’t be able to make it.

So instead, we’re walking for her.

We’re walking to honor her strength, to remind her that she is never fighting alone, and to stand beside every person and family affected by breast cancer.

I’m asking our family and friends to join our team, make a donation, or simply share our story. Every step and every contribution is a way of saying:

We love you, TITI. We’re with you every step of the way.
