Dear Friends and Family,

As most of you know, my breast cancer fight began in 2016. I was fortunate that my cancer was early stage. I still chose to have a double mastectomy, which was a very tough personal decision. I was cancer free for 7 years and then the cancer returned. Needless to say I was devastated. This time I needed to remove the revised breast (mastectomy) AND undergo chemotherapy and radiation treatment. Essentially all of 2024 was a blur of surgery and treatment.  However, my faith in God, the birth of my first grandchild, and the love and support of friends and family helped me through it all. Today, I am considered cancer-free but I have 10 years of oral treatments. 

Therefore, I am committed to helping find a cure for this devastating disease, and it is the goal of my team, Dana’s Faithful Fighters,  to raise as much as we can to support Komen’s vision of a world without breast cancer.
