My Story
Breast cancer has been a part of my life for nearly 30 years, beginning with my first diagnosis when I was 39. Five years later, I experienced a recurrence. I hoped to put breast cancer behind me. Then, seven years ago, I learned I had breast cancer a third time, and it had already spread to my liver.
I know firsthand how important early detection, access to care and research are for people facing breast cancer. I also know how fortunate I am to have access to excellent health care, health insurance and a supportive community of family and friends. I’m grateful for the breakthroughs made possible through research investigating new treatment options that has given me the gift of more time with my family.
By participating in the MORE THAN PINK Walk, I hope to help make sure others have access to the same hope, care and lifesaving treatment that has given me that precious time.
Thank you for your support!
