Activities for Survivors & Those Living with MBC
This event is a celebration of the strength and resilience of survivors and all people living with metastatic breast cancer. We honor these members of our community at:
Hope Village Celebration | 7:30 - 10:00 a.m.
RAIN OR SHINE — we’ll be at the lakefront showing breast cancer who’s boss! This event is a celebration of the strength and resilience of survivors and all people living with metastatic breast cancer. You’ll find Hope Village at the Johnsonville Brat Stage inside Henry Maier Festival Park’s Northgate. To help you get ready, here’s everything you need to know:
- Enjoy breakfast provided by Bartolotta Restaurants
- Pick up your goodie bag sponsored by City of Hope
- Try out and take home Wisconsin Ford Dealers special support seat belt for post mastectomy patients
- Get airbrush tattoos from Purple Sea
- Relax with hot coffee from Valentine Roasters and cold beverages from Pepsi
- Visit the Hope Village Market with great services, gifts, and information just for you survivors and those living with metastatic breast cancer are welcome to bring ONE buddy into Hope Village with them!
Parade of Hope
- 8:50 a.m. — Survivors & those living with metastatic breast cancer begin gathering just south of Hope Village.
- The Parade of Hope will begin right after the Opening Ceremony starts (around 9:03 a.m.). Look for Komen staff and volunteers with signs to guide you.
- This is a powerful and emotional moment — thousands will cheer for YOU.
Crossing the Finish Line
When you cross the finish line, get ready to be celebrated! Survivors and those living with metastatic breast cancer will receive a special pink rose from Welke’s House of Roses, presented by the Milwaukee Fire Department.

Your Event T-shirt
All registered breast cancer survivors and those living with metastatic breast cancer will receive a special event shirt to recognize your special place in our event. To guarantee your shirt arrives in time for you to wear it on event morning, you must register by Sunday, August 30, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. CT.

Top Fundraisers – Individuals who raise $1,000+
On event morning, follow the Top Fundraiser signs to the area reserved just for you! You’ll be gifted a special Top Fundraiser item to help you stand apart from the crowd, and we invite you to pop in and enjoy complimentary snacks and drinks provided by generous local partners.
Your Walk T-shirt
All top fundraisers will earn this year’s commemorative event shirt. To guarantee your shirt arrives in time for you to wear it on Walk morning, you must have raised your first $100 by Sunday, August 30, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. CT. Survivors are not required to fundraise to receive a shirt. If you do not register and fundraise your first $100 prior to 11:59 PM on Sunday, August 30, 2026, please allow 6-8 weeks after the Walk occurs for your t-shirt to arrive in the mail.
Top Teams – Teams who raise $2,500+
Every team that raises $2,500 or more will receive a tent and table in our Top Teams area. We encourage our top teams to bring snacks, drinks and items to share with team members.

Local T-Shirt Details
We are now mailing all shirts for $100+ fundraisers, survivors and those living with metastatic breast cancer. In order to receive your shirt in time for Walk day*, you must register and/or fundraise $100+ by . Survivors and those living with metastatic breast cancer who register, and participants who raise $100, after will receive your shirt(s) by mail after the event. The final cut-off date for participants to raise $100 and receive a shirt is .
*Shirts are being mailed via USPS. As with any shipping provider, delays may occur.
Please note: there will be no t-shirts available for pick up either pre-event or on event day. Thank you for your commitment to Susan G. Komen and our efforts to simplify our t-shirt process.
How long is the Walk?
The Komen Wisconsin MORE THAN PINK Walk will be 2 miles in length, or you may choose to walk our shorter 1 mile route.
Getting to the Event and Parking
Free parking for all participants is located at Henry Maier Festival Park. A detailed parking map will be coming soon.
Are strollers allowed at the event?
Yes! We encourage participants of all ages to join us on event day!
Can I bring my dog(s) to the event?
Yes! Dogs are allowed to join us on the course and in the event area. Please keep your pet(s) leashed at all times for the safety of your pet and other event participants.
What is the deadline for fundraising?
All donations on your behalf will be credited to your fundraising total and will be eligible for fundraising incentives. To receive a Fundraising T-shirt, you must raise $100 by at 11:59 p.m. CT.
2026 Komen Legends
Ready to make your fundraising legendary? Participants who raise $2,500 or more for any 2026 MORE THAN PINK Walk, including the 2026 Komen Wisconsin MORE THAN PINK Walk, 2026 Race for the Cure, or 2026 3-Day will be recognized as members of the 2026 Komen Legends Club. Once you become a Legend, you’ll receive exclusive benefits, including a commemorative lapel pin. Additional information will be emailed to participants as they approach $2,500 in fundraising. Local Fundraising Challenges
All Komen Wisconsin Team Captains are part of the Team Captain Ribbon Challenge where they earn ‘Ribbons’ for team building, donating, fundraising — and encouraging their teammates to do the same. Ribbons earned then turn into rewards for the captains and their team members.
The Ribbon Challenge goes from now through October 27. Aim your sights on Walk day then keep the momentum going through Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
