This year I walk for me
In years past, I laced up my shoes for the Susan G. Komen Walk and Relay for Life to honor my Mom and Grandma Rose. But this year, the steps I take will be deeply personal. This year, I am walking for me.
September 2025 marked the one-year anniversary of my breast cancer diagnosis. The journey that followed was challenging and terrifying, but the community that rose up around me entirely changed my life. I am forever grateful to my friends near and far, and to my incredible family (especially my sister, Bri), who helped me, my husband, and our kids as we navigated this past year. Because of that love, and amazing surgeons, I am here. Now, I am even more inspired by Komen’s mission to ensure no one else faces this disease alone.
Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to my fundraising page today. Your generosity funds breakthrough research and provides immediate lifelines—like Komen’s emotional helpline, financial assistance, and patient navigation services. Together, let’s show every breast cancer patient that they have a whole community standing fiercely by their side.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your continued love and support.
