What makes you feel connected to Susan G. Komen and our mission to end breast cancer?
My Mum passed away in 2014 from breast cancer, she fought for 27 years to stay with us. She was diagnosed at 38 when I was 8 and my brother was 5. My fight is to help end breast cancer so no child or family has to lose their loved ones from breast cancer.
What makes you VIPink?
My boutique started 8 years ago & is a legacy to my Mum who passed from breast cancer. I honor her and remember her with donating to Susan G. Komen with every sale. She was in the process of opening a boutique when she was diagnosed at 38. Breast cancer stopped her in her tracks but I am carrying her torch. My children know my Mum through the boutique and in turn keeps her around in our lives.
What will be your competitive edge against your fellow ambassadors?
I am so passionate about this mission that I will keep fighting and raising as much money as I can! Research, Awareness, Kindness... it all goes hand in hand for these families! To all the survivors, future fighters, & angels I do this for you and I fight for you.
Give us one fun fact about you
I studied a semester abroad in London! I had a blast & even had my favorite celebrity sighting of my life when I saw David Bowie & Mick Jagger at the same time.
