Our Mission:

End Breast Cancer Forever.

About Susan G. Komen

In 1980, Nancy G. Brinker promised her dying sister, Susan, that she would do everything in her power to end breast cancer forever. In 1982, that promise became the Susan G. Komen® organization and the beginning of a global movement. To date, Komen has invested nearly $3.6 billion in groundbreaking research, community health outreach, advocacy and programs in more than 60 countries.

Why VIPink Fundraising Matters

Participant fundraising for events like VIPink is the financial bedrock of Susan G. Komen, and we are the ONLY organization that addresses breast cancer on multiple fronts. The dollars we raise:

Funding Research

Komen-supported researchers teamed up to discover new ways breast cancer metastasizes (spreads to other parts of the body), helping to identify people at risk for recurrence and metastasis.
