My Story
I am walking in the Susan G. Komen More Than Pink Walk as a proud 5-year breast cancer survivor- but my story doesn't end there. Breast cancer has touched my family in a deeply personal way. Not only have I faced this journey myself, but so have my two sisters and a cousin. We have stood together through diagnoses, treatments, and survivorship. Our family has also experienced the heartbreaking loss of my aunt and another cousin to this disease.
Cancer is more than a diagnosis- it's a life-changing experience that reshapes your perspective, tests your strength, and reveals the power of love and support. Walking in this event is my way of honoring the battles we've fought, the resilience we've discovered, and the loved ones we carry with us.
This cause is deeply personal to me. It's about family, courage, and the belief that together, we can make a difference. Every step I take is for my sisters, my cousins, my aunt, my friends, myself, and everyone who has been impacted by breast cancer. And I walk because no one should have to face breast cancer alone.
