When you think back to 2020, the first thing that comes to mind, rightfully so, is COVID! But, for me, the first thing that comes to mind is the words, ?the biopsy shows breast cancer.? These past 5 years have been filled with the lowest of lows and the highest of highs! The first two years consisted of fear, exhaustion, shock, pain, and questions. Every doctor?s appointment during that time resulted in new complications due to my diagnosis of breast cancer. My personality changed, my attitude changed, my physical appearance changed! I withdrew from those whom I loved the most! This would be the time I was at the lowest of lows. Slowly, but surely, my amazing doctors, incredibly loving and resilient family, and my tribe of friends began to help me heal and begin to figure out what my new ?normal? is. It has definitely been a process and journey! Now, 5 years later, I am more in love with my life, my family, and my friends than I ever thought possible! I enjoy each and every precious day I am given and thank God for the beautiful life I have! Nothing is taken for granted!
