This year our family was shaken when my aunt Julie Zambrano, received the news that nobody wants to hear, breast cancer. In a second her life completely changed, a whirlwind of emotions, doctors visits, tests and decisions about treatment became her atmosphere.
She faced her mastectomy with incredible courage, never losing her gentle humor or warm smile, even when she was scared. Now, she’s walking the long road of recovery while preparing for more tests, treatments, and the everyday challenges that come with healing — physically, emotionally, and financially.
Julie is more than a patient, she is a devoted mother, aunt, sister, friend who is always willing to help and puts other before herself. She also works in the medical field, and is an exceptional nurse to all her patients. She tends to people around her with compassion and understanding.
