In December 2024 Casey was getting all of her preventative screenings done to prepare for an IVF transfer of one of our remaining and precious embryos. In an instant, after just finishing 1 year of breastfeeding/pumping for her 1 year-old daughter Casey's world turned upside-down and everything came crashing down.

After years of battling with infertility, she was diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma of the left breast at only 40 years old. Her treatment plan to combat this cancer includes surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and finally hormone-blocking medication she will have to take daily for many years to help prevent the cancer from coming back. While this will most likely save her life, it will also most likely will end Casey's own personal IVF journey. While she are navigating treatment, our embryos, caring for our kids, and figuring out what life will look like in the future, Casey and her team is hoping to help raise awareness and funding to help find a cure for this devastating disease and help younger mom's like her survive for years to come.
