What makes you feel connected to Susan G. Komen and our mission to end breast cancer?
In healthcare, you see how much early detection and access to care can change someone’s life. Behind every diagnosis is a person, a family, and a future that matters. I’ve spent my career working with clinicians, researchers, and innovators who are pushing science and technology forward so patients can get better answers and better care. Susan G. Komen brings people together to move that progress faster. I’m proud to support a mission that reminds us what healthcare is really about: helping people live longer, fuller lives with the people they love.
What makes you VIPink?
VIPink feels like my kind of community. I am bold by nature, and I’m willing to stand out, say what I believe, and put my energy behind something that matters. Causes like this need people who will step forward and ask others to act.
I was raised to take responsibility early. I learned to be resourceful and to handle challenges without waiting for someone else to step in. Those lessons shaped how I lead today. I trust my voice, and I use it to rally people around work that saves lives.
If showing up brightly, speaking with my heart, and wearing a pink wig helps bring more attention and support to this cause, then I am more than ready.
What will be your competitive edge against your fellow ambassadors?
I’ve never been shy about bold colors, so I’ll be wearing my pink wig everywhere I go. I’ll happily use the moment to start a conversation about breast cancer and why this mission matters.
