Q: What makes you feel connected to Susan G. Komen and our mission to end breast cancer?
A: I grew up with three sisters, so anything tied to women’s health hits a little closer to home for me. What I love about Susan G. Komen is that the work is real. It’s research, education, and real support for people dealing with something incredibly hard. I’m someone who values action over talk, and that’s what stands out to me about the mission.
Q: What makes you VIPink?
A: I’m probably not the most flashy ambassador, but i’m the kind of person who believes small things count. If I can help in a big way, great. If all I can do is move the needle an inch, I still want to move it.
Q: What will be your competitive edge against your fellow ambassadors?
A: I’m good at making in-person connections that will hopefully translate to new supporters for the Komen Foundation.
Q: Give us one fun fact about you
A: I am a huge Chicago Bears fan and I once even got to meet Mike Ditka!
