What makes you feel connected to Susan G. Komen and our mission to end breast cancer?
I've been a longtime supporter of the Susan G. Komen organization. Unfortunately, I've had family members, friends, co-workers who have battled breast cancer.
I had a double mastectomy 5 years ago. I was a lucky one who caught an early detection and chose to have the mastectomy.
I'm fighting for everyone to share hope and awareness.
I've been wanting to be a part of this organization for a while and happy to start now!
What makes you VIPink?
I'm hoping to raise money through my social media network, friends and family. I would also want to support women through the emotional part of this as well. None of us should ever have to feel alone and scared - we need to show them love and care!
I will do my best to wear my pink wig everywhere I go and update as much as possible on my pages to consider a donation. No amount is too small :).
What will be your competitive edge against your fellow ambassadors?
My cousin, Kristie Filla, is an Ambassador. We are like sisters and very close. She had asked if I would be interested in becoming an Ambassador and I didn't have to think twice about it. We thought it could be fun to co-campaign since we know a lot of the same people.
We are planning outings all over STL wearing our pink wigs in hopes to raise a lot of money and having fun at the same time!
Give us one fun fact about you
I'm a game show freak. Any game show on TV, I'm watching it.
