What makes you feel connected to Susan G. Komen and our mission to end breast cancer?
I feel deeply connected to Susan G. Komen’s mission because this disease is personal to me. I was diagnosed through a routine mammogram, and I have dear friends and immediate family members who have faced breast cancer as well. I’m incredibly grateful for the loved ones who supported me, and I carry the stories of those we've lost close to my heart. It's a reminder of how many of us are connected by this disease and why I’m committed to showing up and helping us move us closer to a world without breast cancer.
What makes you VIPink?
What makes me VIPink is my commitment to leading with purpose. After a long career at Mastercard, my diagnosis encouraged me to step back and focus on my family, my faith, and organizations I care about. This chapter has taught me to slow down, listen, and show up where I can truly help. Whether I’m volunteering in St. Louis, serving through YMSL, or staying active in my church, I’m grateful for the chance to lift others up and to give back some of the support I received along the way.
What will be your competitive edge against your fellow ambassadors?
My competitive edge comes from the strength of the people around me — especially the friends and family who have faced cancer. I leaned on my network throughout my recovery, and I know they'll rally with me as I fundraise. My friends say I act tough but really have a warm heart — and that heart is ALL IN for this mission.
