I am connected to Susan G. Komen and its mission through my long-standing involvement with the OKC Komen affiliate, beginning in 2013. Through this work, I have contributed to community-based efforts that support breast cancer awareness, education, and fundraising; aligning my service with Komen’s broader commitment to improving outcomes for those impacted by breast cancer. My engagement reflects a sustained investment in advancing equity in health access and supporting initiatives that fund research, provide patient navigation and support services, and mobilize communities to address the social and structural dimensions of breast cancer prevention and care.

Being VIPink is not just a title; it is an active role I am excited to engage in. This allows me to use my outgoing personality to not only fundraise, but to raise awareness and support for those experiencing breast cancer. Being a champion for the community and an advocate gives me the opportunity to continue the great work of a wonderful organization.
