What makes you feel connected to Susan G. Komen and our mission to end breast cancer? Susan G. Komen's Mission is near and dear to our hearts. Ten years ago, my mother, Rosalind Ellis, passed away at the age of 48. She battled breast cancer for several years and underwent a double mastectomy. She was an avid supporter of Susan G. Komen. In October 2018, I volunteered at the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure event in Dallas and still have my volunteer medal in memory of my mom.
What makes you VIPink? I am committed to supporting breast cancer awareness and raising money to find a cure. I fight for my mom Rosalind, my wife Erin, and my daughter Anne-Marie.
What will be your competitive edge against your fellow ambassadors? An unwavering commitment to raise money from friends, family, and my network in an effort to support breast cancer awareness in my community.
Give us one fun fact about you. I hold a few records with Washington University in St. Louis' baseball team - I am the all-time leader in career RBIs and games played, and 2nd all-time in career hits.
