What makes you feel connected to Susan G. Komen and our mission to end breast cancer? I feel really connected to Susan G. Komen because this fight is personal for our family. My wife battled breast cancer in 2018, and I saw firsthand what patients and families go through. Being there for her through treatment, appointments, and the emotional ups and downs changed how I look at this disease. Komen’s mission means hope, support, and real help for families like ours, and I want to do my part to support the work that helps save lives.
What makes you VIPink? I’m VIPink because this mission is personal to me. After standing beside my wife through breast cancer, I know firsthand how much strength, love, and community it takes. I want to use my voice, time, and energy to support others, push awareness, and help make sure more families get the hope and help they need.
What will be your competitive edge against your fellow ambassadors? My competitive edge? I’ve got heart, determination, and a pretty good network of people who care. I’m passionate about this cause, I’m not shy about asking people to step up, and I don’t like to lose—especially when it means helping fight breast cancer.
Give us one fun fact about you. My wife and I play Santa and Mrs. Claus during the holidays. It’s become one of our favorite traditions and a way to spread kindness, hope, and joy—something we’re also hoping to do through Pink Tie Guys.
