What makes you feel connected to Susan G. Komen and our mission to end breast cancer?
I was diagnosed with Stage 2 Invasive Ductal Carcinoma at the age of 35. I was a young, vibrant and otherwise healthy wife and mom. My most fervent wish was to live for my children and family.
What felt like the end marked the beginning of my mission to find a cure. After 21 years of Race for the Cure participation, fundraising, speaking out and supporting those in need, I have accepted this as my life's mission.
Sharing my story is my way of uplifting those faced with a journey they may have never expected. It is my journey. it is my truth. Together, we will achieve victory over cancer!
