What makes you feel connected to Susan G. Komen and our mission to end breast cancer? I’ve been a pathologist in private practice for 24 years. Breast cancer is the most common cancer that I diagnose. I usually see multiple breast biopsies every day. The numbers are staggering. The advances in imaging, treatment and diagnostic tests have been incredible, but there is much to be done to cure one of the most common diseases.
What makes you VIPink? In diagnosing personal friends, I’ve not only seen the mortality, but the morbidity this disease causes. I’m determined to advocate for early detection and treatment.
What will be your competitive edge against your fellow ambassadors? Because I do this daily!
