What makes you feel connected to Susan G. Komen and our mission to end breast cancer?
For the last two years I've had the privilege of serving as emcee for the Susan G. Komen More Than Pink Walk in Nebraska and it gets more inspiring every time, hearing the stories of women who have had the strength to fight against this horrible disease. As a woman, and as a minority I also find it important to raise awareness - as Black women are more likely to die of breast cancer. It is important to me to stand in solidarity with all breast cancer survivors and thrivers. Sadly, it could happen to any of us.
What makes you VIPink?
My passion for causes close to me and my love for connection is what makes me VIPink. It is my mission to use the network I have built to raise money for breast cancer research. I have faith that we will one day find a cure!
What will be your competitive edge against your fellow ambassadors?
