What makes you feel connected to Susan G. Komen and our mission to end breast cancer?
My family has an extensive history of breast cancer despite testing negative for any of the breast cancer genes. My mother was first diagnosed in 1994 at age 39 and again in 2018. My grandmother was diagnosed in 2013 and died of metastatic breast cancer in 2015. I myself was diagnosed with Invasive Lobular Carcinoma in 2021 at age 45. For me this mission is very personal.

1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. I am passionate about raising awareness and encouraging others to join in the fight to improve this statistic and one day end breast cancer for good.
What will be your competitive edge against your fellow ambassadors?
I have been very open with my personal breast cancer journey on social media. I am a healthcare professional (pharmacist) and I have educated myself extensively in current breast cancer treatment. I have made it a personal mission to educate and help others navigate this difficult issue.
