What makes you feel connected to Susan G. Komen and our mission to end breast cancer?

I have over a dozen cool friends of mine who are local Austin business leaders who have battled and beaten breast cancer. Several of these women are already using their experience to warn other women to pay attention to the early signs of this maddeningly common disease that 1 out of 7 women will battle.

What makes you VIPink?

I’m a long time advocate for strong women.

What will be your competitive edge against your fellow ambassadors?

My great great great grandmother was a Keyser. (As in Keyser Soze from the movie The Usual Suspects). She ran a 900-acre ranch in the Pedernales River back in the mid to late 1800s in Fredericksburg. There is a continual line of incredibly strong take no bull female ancestry. So, I’ve known that women get stuff done all my life.
