I am deeply connected to Susan G. Komen and the mission to end breast cancer because I was diagnosed with the disease at just 33 years old while living in Austin, Texas. Early detection played a crucial role in my prognosis and post-treatment outcomes, reinforcing the importance of awareness and access to screenings.
