As a 13-year breast cancer survivor, to me, Susan G. Komen represents hope, community, and compassion for those fighting this horrible disease. The organization's mission to end breast cancer and support those that are fighting the disease resonates deeply with me because I’ve experienced firsthand the challenges of breast cancer. Knowing that Komen funds groundbreaking research, provides support to patients and survivors, and works to make treatment accessible is a key part of their mission.
According to the University of Colorado School of Medicine, Colorado sees approximately 5,150 new breast cancer cases each year. And with those staggering numbers, Susan G. Komen has 2,000 people reach out for information and support every week.
My hope is that with your help we can provide funds needed to support men and women going through treatment and see a future free from breast cancer.
