Don’t miss your chance to see who will be crowned Survivor and Co-Survivor of the Year and enjoy some light refreshments! This is also when we’ll get ready for the Opening Ceremony.

Activities for Survivors & Those Living with MBC

This event is a celebration of the strength and resilience of survivors and all people living with metastatic breast cancer. We honor these members of our community at:

Hope Village Celebration | 8:00 a.m.

Join us in the Hope Village area for light refreshments, crowning of the Survivor and Co-Survivor of the Year, and other fun activities.

Pathway of Hope/Survivor Parade | 9:15 a.m.

All survivors, those currently in treatment and those living with metastatic breast cancer will unite and walk into our Opening Ceremony.

Your Event T-shirt

All registered breast cancer survivors and those living with metastatic breast cancer will receive a commemorative event shirt to recognize your special place in our event. To guarantee your shirt arrives in time for you to wear it on event morning, you must register by Sunday, September 14, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. CT.

Survivors and those living with metastatic breast cancer who register, and participants who raise $100, after will receive your shirt(s) by mail after the event. The final cut-off date for participants to raise $100 and receive a shirt is Sunday, November 9, 2025.

*Shirts are being mailed via USPS. As with any shipping provider, delays may occur.

Please note: there will be no t-shirts available for pick up either pre-event or on event day. Thank you for your commitment to Susan G. Komen and our efforts to simplify our t-shirt process.

Susan G. Komen’s work would not be possible without our fundraisers. It is our honor to recognize those fundraisers who go above and beyond with their efforts and support – our Top Individuals and Top Teams. 

Top Fundraisers – Individuals who raise $1,000+

On event morning, follow the Top Fundraiser signs to the tent reserved for you! You’ll be gifted a special Top Fundraiser item, and we invite you to pop in and enjoy complimentary snacks and drinks too.

Your Walk T-shirt

All top fundraisers will earn this year’s commemorative event shirt. To guarantee your shirt arrives in time for you to wear it on Walk morning, you must have raised your first $100 by Sunday, September 14, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. CT. Top Fundraisers who register, and participants who raise $100, after will receive your shirt(s) by mail after the event. The final cut-off date for participants to raise $100 and receive a shirt is Sunday, November 9, 2025.

Top Teams – Teams who raise $2,500+

Every team that raises $2,500 or more will be invited to the Top Teams tent to enjoy a light breakfast, take team photos. Team captains will also receive a special gift.

Local T-Shirt Details

How long is the Walk?

The will be 3 miles in length, or you may choose to walk our shorter 1 mile route. 

Getting to the Event and Parking

There are several paid lots and garages available on-site. National Harbor is also accessible via metro and complimentary shuttle busses will be provided. Further details are forthcoming.

Are strollers allowed at the event?

Yes! We encourage participants of all ages to join us on event day!

Can I bring my dog(s) to the event?

No. For the safety of event participants/due to local regulations, only service animals will be allowed at the event.

What is the deadline for fundraising?

All donations on your behalf will be credited to your fundraising total and will be eligible for fundraising incentives. To receive a Fundraising T-shirt, you must raise $100 by at 11:59 p.m. CT.

Audrey Baker

We are excited to announce that Audrey Baker is our 2025 – 2026 Chair for the Komen Community Board.

Audrey Baker is a Senior Relationship Manager with the Aerospace, Defense & Technology Group for Bank of America Global Commercial Banking.

Audrey is a 7-year breast cancer survivor which makes supporting the Susan G. Komen mission personal. Her goal is to ensure that no one fighting breast cancer does it alone and is aware of the communities and support available to them.
