We look forward to coming together to walk to end breast cancer with you on Saturday, November 2, 2024!
7:30 a.m. | Site Opens
Event Parking is located at Northwest Vista College (3535 N Ellison Dr, San Antonio, TX 78251). This is a Park & Ride lot. Parking is free and there are complementary shuttles running to and from the Walk site beginning at 6:00 a.m. Accessible parking is located at the Walk site. 8:00 a.m. | Event tents and check-in open
Please stop at the check-in tent to pick up your commemorative Komen wrap for the opening ceremony and your back sign. If you haven’t registered online, you can do so at the tent or turn in any last-minute donations.
Note: If you have already registered online, you do not need to stand in line to check in.
Simply pick up your wrap at one of the tables and pick up your back sign or feel free to download your back sign here. Once downloaded please print, fill it out, and bring it with you to Walk.
Once you have your wrap and back sign feel free to explore our four pillar zones (Research, Care, Community, and Action), visit the “We Remember” tent, meet our valued sponsors, and more.
Hope for Triumph, a dedicated nonprofit organization committed to making a positive impact in the lives of individuals affected by cancer and chronic illness, will be providing activities for the Kid’s Zone and Hope Kits in Hope Village.

Your Event T-shirt
All registered breast cancer survivors and those living with metastatic breast cancer will receive a special event shirt to recognize your special place in our event. To guarantee your shirt arrives in time for you to wear it on event morning, you must register by Sunday, October 6, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. CT.

Top Fundraisers – Individuals who raise $1,000+
On event morning, follow the Top Fundraiser signs to the area reserved just for you! You’ll be gifted a special Top Fundraiser item to help you stand apart from the crowd, and we invite you to pop in and enjoy complimentary snacks and drinks provided by generous local partners.
Your Walk T-shirt
All top fundraisers will earn this year’s commemorative event shirt. To guarantee your shirt arrives in time for you to wear it on Walk morning, you must have raised your first $100 by Sunday, October 6, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. CT.
Top Teams – Teams who raise $2,500+
Every team that raises $2,500 or more will receive a tent and table in our Top Teams area. We encourage our top teams to bring snacks, drinks and items to share with team members.

Local T-Shirt Details
To receive your exclusive San Antonio MORE THAN PINK Walk T-shirt in time for Walk Day each participant must be registered and have raised at least $100 by . Anyone who raises $100 after , will receive your shirt(s) by mail after the event. The final cut-off date for participants to raise $100 and receive a shirt is .
All survivors, those currently in treatment, and those living with metastatic breast cancer will receive a special event shirt to recognize your special place in our event. To guarantee your shirt arrives in time for you to wear it on event morning, you must register by , at 11:59 pm CST.
If you register after October 6, 2024, at 11:59 pm CST you will receive your shirt(s) by mail after the event. The final cut-off date to register and receive a T-shirt is .
*Shirts are being mailed via USPS. As with any shipping provider, delays may occur.
Please note: there will be no t-shirts available for pick up either pre-event or on event day. Thank you for your commitment to Susan G. Komen and our efforts to simplify our t-shirt process.
How long is the Walk?
The will be 1 mile in length, or you may choose to walk a shorter or longer route.
Will the Walk still take place if it rains?
We are a rain or shine event. In the case of severe weather, please remain in a safe location and watch the Special Announcement section of our website and Facebook group for updates.
Getting to the Event and Parking
General Parking for the 2024 San Antonio More Than Pink Walk is free and is located at Northwest Vista College (3535 N Ellison Dr, San Antonio, TX 78251). This is a Park & Ride lot.
Buses start running at 6:00 am and the last buses will leave the Walk site at 12:45 pm.
Strollers are permitted on buses. Accessible parking is located at Methodist Hospital | Westover Hills.

Are strollers allowed at the event?
Yes! We encourage participants of all ages to join us on event day!
Can I bring my dog(s) to the event?
Unfortunately, pets are not allowed on the hospital grounds. The only exception to this policy is service dogs. Service dogs must always be on a leash. For the safety of your animals, no animals should be left in your vehicle while you attend the event.
What is the deadline for fundraising?
All donations on your behalf that are received through , at 11:59 p.m. CST will be credited to your fundraising total and will be eligible for fundraising incentives.

Meet our 2024 Event Chair
Imelda Guzman, Division Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, supports the San Antonio and Central West Texas Division. Imelda has over 20 years of experience in Human Resources, 17 of those with Methodist Healthcare. During that time, she led Human Resources for several hospitals and partnerships, including Methodist Hospital | Stone Oak and Methodist Hospital | Specialty and Transplant. Other accomplishments include leading the human resources process for two major acquisitions and standing up the first Leadership Development Institute with Methodist Healthcare. During that time, she helped decrease turnover, improve processes, and coach young leaders.

Operations Committee Chair
Kat Landtroop, our MORE THAN PINK Walk Operations Committee Chair has been with Komen for over seven years now. The first 6 of those years were in Austin, TX and now that’s she’s moved to San Antonio this year, Kat’s ready to spread that PINK love here! She is the Director of a preschool and truly loves leading her team to empower children to be the best versions of themselves they can! Kat is also a published children’s author and is kept on her toes by her husband who owns a local business and her theater-loving son.
