We look forward to coming together to walk to end breast cancer with you on Saturday, October 5, 2024! 

8:00 a.m. | On-site registration opens
Don’t forget to pick up your commemorative Komen Wrap for the Opening Ceremony.

8:00 a.m. | Event site opens
Explore our four pillar zones (Research, Care, Community and Action), visit the “We Remember” tent (photos and messages of Remembrance AND Survivorship Celebration messages are welcome), meet our valued sponsors and check out our silent auction and receive a bid number.

8:00 a.m. | Survivors and those living with metastatic breast cancer may pick up their goody bags. Light breakfast items available.
At 8:30 a.m. don’t miss your chance to be in our group photo! At 8:45 am we’ll get ready for the Pathway of Hope Parade and Opening Ceremony.

While in Hope Village make sure you grab a postcard on ShareForCures, Komen’s breast cancer research registry focused on finding the cures for breast cancer. Learn how you can accelerate discoveries, make an impact, and be a catalyst for change!

Honor survivors, those currently in treatment and those living with metastatic breast cancer as they walk down the Pathway of Hope; celebrate our top fundraisers; and listen to inspiring stories of resilience.

9:30 a.m. | Walk begins
All individuals and teams gather and get ready to walk! Walk route is 2.7 miles, with water available at the Start, a mid-walk Water Stop, and Finish Line.

10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. | Post-Walk Celebration
Enjoy music, snacks and all our MORE THAN PINK activities as we celebrate your success!

10:45 a.m. | Silent Auction will close
Winners are expected to Check Out and pick up items before leaving the Walk grounds.

Hope Village Celebration

Join us in Hope Village to pick up your goody bag, have some light breakfast items and an opportunity to meet fellow Survivors and Those Living with Metastatic Disease.
At 8:30 a.m. don’t miss your opportunity to be in our group photo!
At 8:45 a.m. you’ll get ready for the Pathway of Hope Parade and Opening Ceremony.

Pathway of Hope/Survivor Parade | 9:00 a.m.

All survivors, those currently in treatment and those living with metastatic breast cancer are invited to walk, united, into our Opening Ceremony. Stories of survivorship will be read aloud during the parade.

Your Event T-shirt

All registered MORE THAN PINK Walk participants electing to be recognized as breast cancer survivors or someone living with metastatic breast cancer will receive a special event shirt to recognize your special place in the Walk. To guarantee your shirt arrives in time for you to wear it on event morning, Saturday, October 5, you must register by Sunday, September 8, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. CT.

Walk Day for Top Fundraisers & Teams

Susan G. Komen’s work would not be possible without our fundraisers. It is our honor to recognize those fundraisers who go above and beyond with their efforts and support – our Top Individuals and Top Teams. 

Top Individual Fundraisers – Individuals who raise $1,000+

On event morning, follow the Top Fundraiser signs to the area reserved just for you! You’ll be gifted a special Top Fundraiser item to help you stand apart from the crowd, and we invite you to pop in and enjoy complimentary breakfast items provided by generous local partners. 

Your Walk T-shirt

All fundraisers of $100 or more will earn this year’s commemorative MORE THAN PINK Walk shirt. To guarantee your shirt arrives in time for you to wear it on Walk morning, Saturday, October 5, you must have raised your first $100 by Sunday, September 8, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. CT.

Top Fundraising Teams – Teams that raise $2,500+

Every Komen Vermont MORE THAN PINK Walk team that raises $2,500 or more will have the opportunity to bring a tent (we'll supply the table) in our Top Teams area. We will provide light breakfast items, courtesy of generous local partners, to share with team members.

Local T-Shirt Details

We are now mailing all t-shirts for $100+ fundraisers, and survivors and those living with metastatic breast cancer (who elect at time of registration to be recognized as such). In order to receive your shirt in time for Walk day*, Saturday, October 5, you must register and fundraise $100+ by . Survivors and those living with metastatic breast cancer who register (and elect to be recognized as such), and participants who raise $100, after will receive their t-shirt(s) by mail after the event. The final cut-off date for participants to raise $100 and receive an event t-shirt is .

*Shirts are being mailed via USPS. As with any shipping provider, delays may occur.

Please note: there will be no t-shirts available for pick up either pre-event or on event day. Thank you for your commitment to Susan G. Komen and our efforts to simplify our t-shirt process.

How long is the Walk?

The will be 2.7 miles in length. You may choose to walk a shorter distance by walking a portion of our designated "out & back" route that is accessible to all ages and all abilities.

Getting to the Event and Parking

Free parking for all participants is located at the Walk grounds at Riley Rink at Hunter Park (Northshire Civic Center). Additional free parking may be found at the Dana L. Thompson Memorial Park (part of the designated Walk route).

Are strollers allowed at the event?

Yes! We encourage participants of all ages and abilities to join us on Walk day!

Can I bring my dog(s) to the event?

Yes! Dogs are allowed to join us on the course and in the event area. Please keep your pet(s) leashed at all times for the safety of your pet and other event participants.

What is the deadline for fundraising?

All donations on your behalf that are received through at 11:59 p.m. CT will be credited to your fundraising total and will be eligible for fundraising incentives.
