7:00 a.m. | Survivors and those living with metastatic breast cancer meet at Hope Village.
Don’t miss your opportunity to see who will be crowned Survivor and Co-Survivor of the Year and enjoy some light refreshments. This is also when we’ll get ready for the Opening Ceremony.

This event is a celebration of the strength and resilience of survivors and all people living with metastatic breast cancer. We honor these members of our community at:

Hope Village Celebration | 7:00 a.m.

Join us in the Hope Village area for light refreshments, crowning of the Survivor and Co-Survivor of the Year, and other fun activities.

Pathway of Hope/Survivor Parade | 8:15 a.m.

All survivors, those currently in treatment and those living with metastatic breast cancer will unite and walk into our Opening Ceremony.

Your Event T-shirt

We are now mailing all shirts for $100+ fundraisers, as well as for registered survivors and those living with metastatic breast cancer. In order to receive your shirt in time for Walk day*, survivors and those living with metastatic breast cancer must register, and participants must register and raise $100+, by Sunday, August 11, 2024. Survivors and those living with metastatic breast cancer who register, and participants who register and raise $100+, after Sunday, August 11, 2024, will receive your shirt(s) by mail after the event. The final cut-off date for participants to raise $100+ and receive a shirt is Sunday, October 6, 2024. For those qualifying between August 12th-October 6th, shirts will be delivered approximately three weeks thereafter, the week of October 28th.

*Shirts are being mailed via USPS. As with any shipping provider, delays may occur.

Top Fundraisers – Individuals who raise $1,000+

On event morning, follow the Top Fundraiser signs to the tent reserved for you! You’ll be gifted a special Top Fundraiser item to help you stand apart from the crowd, and we invite you to pop in and enjoy complimentary snacks and drinks provided by generous local partners. 

Your Walk T-shirt

Top Teams – Teams who raise $2,500+

Every team that raises $2,500 or more will be invited to the Top Teams tent to enjoy a light breakfast and take team photos. Team captains will receive a special gift.

Local T-Shirt Details

We are now mailing all shirts for $100+ fundraisers, as well as for registered survivors and those living with metastatic breast cancer. To receive your t-shirt in time for Walk day on Sunday September 8, you must register and either self-donate or fundraise $100+ by Sunday August 11 at 11:59 CT. Survivors and those living with metastatic breast cancer who register by August 11 will receive their special t-shirts at no cost. Participants who raise a minimum of $100 after August 11 will receive their shirt(s) by mail after the event. The final cut-off date for participants to fundraise $100 and earn a t-shirt is Sunday October 6 at 11:59 CT.

How long is the Walk?

The 2024 Komen DMV Tri-State MORE THAN PINK Walk will be 3 miles in length, or you may choose to walk our shorter 1 mile route.

Getting to the Event and Parking

Public transportation is available to Freedom Plaza! METRO opens at 7:00 a.m. on Sundays. Metro Center location (Red/Blue/Orange lines) and Federal Triangle location (Blue/Orange Lines) are the closest stops to Freedom Plaza.

Parking is available at the Ronald Reagan International Trade Center Building. Entrance is on 14th Street between Constitution Avenue and Pennsylvania Avenue. Cost is $19 for the day. Click here for more information.

Are strollers allowed at the event?

Yes! We encourage participants of all ages to join us on event day!

Can I bring my dog(s) to the event?

For the safety of event participants/due to local regulations, only service animals will be allowed at the event.

What is the deadline for fundraising incentives?

All donations on your behalf that are received through Sunday, October 6, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. CT will be credited to your fundraising total and will be eligible for fundraising incentives.

How long can I continue fundraising?

Fundraising to qualify for an incentive item will close on Sunday, October 6th at 11:59 p.m. CT. However, your MORE THAN PINK Walk website will remain open for donations through the end of the year, until December 31, 2024.
