What makes you feel connected to Susan G. Komen and our mission to end breast cancer?
Hello my name is Martin Vasquez. I am the managing partner of The Security Academy & Training Center, a vocational school located in San Bernardino. I operate it with the help of my lovely young wife Cynthia. I truly believe in the old saying that "behind every good man is a GREAT women." I learned this growing up seeing it within my father and mother. My mother had breast cancer and because of aggressive doctors, great support and love, she beat it and was able to spend 40+ more years with us. However, a close family friend who was diagnosed around the same time, along with several of Cynthia's relatives, were not as fortunate and left us way too early because of this terrible disease. I/we believe that this cancer is true evil and that all good men and women need to do what they can to help the good people at Susan G. Komen fight this battle. Only with the support of the community and those of us reading this who have the ability to help will one day, and hopefully one day soon, the good people at Susan G. Komen beat this cancer. Let's all hope and pray that "One Day soon PINK will just be a color" -Dolly Parton
