What makes you feel connected to Susan G. Komen and our mission to end breast cancer?
Susan G. Komen has given years of time, attention and financial support to ensure that people are educated about breast cancer, have support, and know that Komen is unrelentlessly searching for a cure. It is this type of information, support, and dedication that I wish my family had been provided and just maybe my brother would have had more time.
I believe that the cure for one cancer will pave the way for the cures for others. I lost my brother to colon cancer at the age of 34. We knew that our maternal grandmother and paternal grandfather both passed away when we were younger, but we did not realize that they both passed away of colon cancer nor did we, as children, realize what that meant for our health.
