It’s time to celebrate another good year of health…no wait a minute, it was a good year but my health took a detour as I was diagnosed with breast cancer again. Fortunately, this time it was stage 0 which means it was just barely recognizable as cancer. How is that for early detection? I’ll spare you the details, but after some surgery and PT, I’m feeling back to normal. Once again, I was reminded of the importance of family, friends and the survivor community. Ladies that have reached out to me over the years to talk about their cancer situation were now giving me back some of their ‘girlfriend’ advice which provided new tips on coping and managing my journey. So reflecting on this year, it has been a good one, although difficult, and I’ll be celebrating again this year. Eighteen years ago I benefitted from the research and refined treatments based on the people before me. This year I benefitted from additional advancements in detection. Will you join me in paying it forward for those yet to be diagnosed? Any amount will make a difference!
I'll keep you posted on my progress!
