This year, I'm walking with a perspective I never imagined I would have: as a breast cancer survivor.

After experiencing firsthand what it means to hear the words "breast cancer" and navigate the surgeries, uncertainty, recovery, and emotions that follow, being part of the Susan G. Komen MORE THAN PINK Walk has taken on a deeply personal meaning for me.

My journey has taught me the importance of early detection, self-advocacy, access to quality care, research, and having a community around you when life changes in an instant. I was fortunate to have support throughout my journey, and I want to help make sure other women and families have that support too.

That is why I am raising funds for Susan G. Komen. Donations help support breast cancer research as well as resources for people facing breast cancer today, including emotional support, financial assistance, education, and help navigating barriers to care.

For me, this walk represents more than surviving breast cancer. It represents hope for what comes next and using my experience to make a difference for someone coming behind me.
