This year I walk for my patients. I walk in their honor, and in their memory. I also walk for one of my best friends from my first nursing job who is newly diagnosed with breast cancer. 

Next year will be my 20th year as an Oncology nurse. I truly love my job, patient population, and my coworkers. Our patients keep me humble, laughing, and truly remind me what’s important in life. I’m proud to know the event chair of this walk, Kristin, who is currently one of our patients. I’m also proud to walk with my daughter Rose, so she can see women empowering women at the Komen walk.
