In 2023 I got news that never imagined would cross my path. The unknown was the worst part, things became more hopeful when the details unfolded that the journey wouldn’t be as difficult as some others have to endure. Having surgery and radiation with the support of my family and friends was empowering. After the bell rang there was a relief but still the journey continues with further prevention. Even with the hardest part of the journey past there’s still a weight that will continue to be there in the back of my mind. Life is seen in a different light now and i have hope that my journey and story is helpful for others going through the same path.
