In April 2025, I heard the words no one ever wants to hear: “You have breast cancer.”

From that moment, life changed. Breast cancer is more than a diagnosis—it’s a journey, a battle, and a path filled with uncertainty, fear, strength, and hope. There are appointments, treatments, scans, decisions, and moments when you wonder what the future will look like.

As a breast cancer survivor, I’m walking in the Susan G. Komen More Than Pink Walk because I know firsthand how important it is to keep moving forward—and how important research is.​

Research gives us better treatments, earlier detection, better outcomes, and hope for the future. I want a world where hearing “you have breast cancer” doesn’t have to be the beginning of such a difficult journey.

I’m walking for myself, for those still fighting, for those we’ve lost, and for every person who will face this diagnosis in the future.
