In 2017, my mom, Connie, was diagnosed with breast cancer. Like so many families who hear those words, our world changed in an instant. It was a difficult and emotional journey, but my mom faced it with incredible strength, courage, and faith.

By the end of 2017, my mom was in remission. Today, she has been breast cancer-free for years, and we are beyond grateful for every day we get to celebrate her strength, her life, and her victory. Her journey is a reminder that a breast cancer diagnosis does not have to be the end of the story. There is hope beyond the diagnosis.

This year, I joined the Komen community and registered for the Susan G. Komen MORE THAN PINK Walk in honor of my mom, Connie, and everyone whose life has been touched by breast cancer.
